💙 More Than a Tour – A Transformation
Many of our guests describe their experience with wild dolphins and whales as nothing short of transformational. Encounters often bring:
-
A profound sense of peace and well-being
-
Feelings of bliss, joy, and emotional release
-
A deeper connection to nature and spirit
This is the love and magic the dolphins and whales gift us when we meet them with an open heart.
🐬 Our Marine Wonderland
The waters of Drake Bay are home to over 25 species of dolphins and whales. It’s one of the best places on Earth to encounter marine life, with:
-
Resident pods of hundreds—even thousands—of dolphins (Spotted, Spinner, Bottlenose, Common, and Roughtooth).
-
Several whale species, including the majestic Humpback Whale. Costa Rica’s Osa Peninsula enjoys the longest humpback whale season in the world, as migrations arrive from both the Northern and Southern hemispheres—a phenomenon found nowhere else on Earth.
Year-round, the warm, nutrient-rich waters of Drake Bay create a sanctuary where marine life thrives.
🌍 Research, Conservation & Preservation
Our love for this extraordinary ecosystem is matched only by our commitment to protect it. Sadly, commercial fishing poses serious threats to these biodiverse waters. That’s why The Divine Dolphin is actively involved in research, conservation, and education.
We are proud supporters of the MPA for Osa campaign—a movement to establish a marine preserve here. By joining one of our tours, you not only experience the ocean’s magic, you also help us collect valuable data that strengthens the case for lasting protection.
It’s a true win-win: an unforgettable adventure for you, and a safer future for dolphins and whales.
We are proud to be a part the team who made possible the Osa Peninsula being named an Important Marine Mammal Area (IMMA)
