The Divine Dolphin recommends the following all inclusive travel packages to make the most of your time in Drake Bay, both on land and at sea.

Rates on the below travel packages are based on double occupancy. Upgrades and tour and hotel substitutions are available. Just ask!

Marine Lover’s All Inclusive Package

  • 1 night in San Jose including transportation from the airport
  • Roundtrip flight and taxi to Drake Bay

  • Breakfast in San Jose and all meals in Drake Bay

Budget Travel: *$1210 per person (no meals or breakfast only included depending on the hotel available)
Mid-Range: *$1720 per person (all inclusive or breakfast only included depending on the hotel chosen)
Luxury 4 Star: *$3110 per person (all inclusive)

What the package prices include:

  • One night in San Jose
  • Round-trip flights to/from Drake Bay including transportation
  • Accommodations in Drake Bay
  • Dolphin/whale encounters
  • Guided tour to Corcovado National Park
  • All meals while in Drake Bay depending on hotel chosen. Some packages do not included meals or only breakfast. Lunch is served on tours.

What the package prices do NOT include:

  • Flights to San Jose, Costa Rica,
  • Lunch and dinner while in San Jose
  • Alcoholic beverages (except with certain Luxury packages)
  • Tours and activities on your free day.
  • Meals are only included with certain packages.

Itinerary for Best of Costa Rica &
Marine Lover’s Packages

Day 1

Arrive in San Jose, Costa Rica and spend the night at our recommended hotel which has an in-house restaurant, gym and swimming pool.

Day 2

Fly directly to Drake Bay and take the arranged taxi to our recommended hotel. Relax, snorkel, horseback ride, do a canopy tour or take a hike. Tours for the day you arrive must be arranged ahead of time.

Day 3

Dolphin and Whale Encounter. Tour starts at 8:00 am and ends between 1:30 and 2:30 pm depending on what we see. Lunch is on the boat. Tours are guided by Sierra, who has over 24 years guiding dolphin and whale encounters and is the founder of Vida Marina and The Divine Dolphin. See our “Day Tour” section for a list of species you might see during your chosen dates.

Day 4

Corcovado National Park – After an early breakfast, you leave for Corcovado National Park. The crown jewel of Costa Rica’s rainforests and the most biologically intense place on earth, Corcovado is home to 400 species of birds, 140 mammals, 116 species of amphibians and reptiles, 500 species of trees and 6000 species of insects. Corcovado National Park protects several endangered species including jaguar, puma, scarlet macaw, crocodiles, tapir, poison dart and golden frogs and the harpy eagle. Turtles lay their eggs on the beaches. Our experienced guide will help you to see and identify the amazing amount of animals, trees and plants found here. Hike through the rich rainforest and see for yourself what Costa Rica is most famous for. Lunch is served at the Ranger’s Station. Back for dinner and sharing of sightseeing stories.

Day 5

Dolphin and Whale Encounter, same as Day 3.

Day 6

Free day to hike, kayak, horseback ride, visit Caño Island for amazing snorkeling. fly through the air on the canopy tour, or just swing in a hammock. These tours are NOT included in the package and are extra. Cost depends on tour chosen.

Day 7

Best of Costa Rica Package – Return flight to San Jose.

Marine Lover’s Package – Dolphin and Whale tour.

Day 8

Marine Lover’s Package- Return flight to San Jose.

    Package Cancellation Policy:

    More than 90 days prior to arrival: Your Deposits are non-refundable. However, if our office is notified in writing 90 days or more before arrival date, your deposits, less a $50.00 service charge per person, can be credited to the same trip, if rescheduled and taken within a 12 month period from the time we receive written notice of cancellation.

    Less than 90 days prior to arrival: Cancellations received less than 90 days prior to departure forfeits all payments. WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THE PURCHASE OF TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE! “No shows” will not receive any refund. No partial refunds or credits will be given for unused room reservations, services and tours due to circumstances beyond our control, such as bad weather, sickness, mechanical failure, change of mind, etc. In other words, if you have made reservations for 7 nights and stay only 6, you will still pay for 7 nights.
