Among Dolphins – Experience the Dolphins, Whales and Rainforest of Costa Rica!

Among Dolphins

February 10-16, 2024 – Drake Bay, Costa Rica

Experience the Divine Dolphins,
Whales and Rainforest of Costa Rica!

Imagine being surrounded by joyful, playful dolphins everywhere you look… This is what you can experience when you join us for Among Dolphins in Drake Bay, Costa Rica. And not only will you get to mingle among our super mega pods of dolphins, numbering in the thousands, you also get the added super bonus of our crown jewel rainforest, Corcovado National Park to hang out with the rainforest animals too. You will stay at a beachfront hotel in the heart of Costa Rica’s Osa Peninsula, known as the most biologically intense place on Earth and spend your days immersed in the very finest Nature has to offer, both on land and at sea. This is the wild nature experience of a lifetime!

You will get to truly experience what it is like to be Among Dolphins. Your travel package includes three full days of glorious dolphin encounters, allowing for the opportunity to witness many different behaviors including resting, feeding, traveling, bow riding, leaping and mating. Sometimes our mega pods are spread out into smaller sub pods, and other times they all come together into a super mega pod numbering in the thousands!

The dolphin species we see most often are Pan Tropical Spotted, Bottlenose, Spinner, Roughtooth and Common Dolphins. They all have their distinct behaviors and ways of being that we get to witness. Even when resting, the dolphins will usually allow us to float along with them. And when they get playful and rowdy, you can see dolphins leaping all over the place! There is really nothing like being in the middle of a mega pod of dolphins. And sometimes only a few dolphins bring the magic and intimacy. You MUST experience it all! And you will when you join us for Among Dolphins.

Bottlenose Love!

You will also get to hear the dolphins through our hydrophone. It is fascinating to hear the sounds that they make as they communicate with each other. Dolphins have signature whistles that are their names. They also communicate where the food is… and where the fun is.

Listen to the Dolphins communicate now!

Recordings from Drake Bay, Costa Rica on our Divine Dolphin Tour!

While this trip is focused on the our plentiful dolphins, you will also have the chance to see Humpback whales, sea turtles, manta rays and other sea critters. The dolphins love to play with the whales, especially the babies, and even put themselves right in the middle of rowdy Humpbacks.

Besides all of the whale encounters you will experience, you will also visit Corcovado National Park, the crown jewel of Costa Rica’s rainforests and the most biologically intense place on Earth. Corcovado is home to 400 species of birds, 140 mammals, 116 species of amphibians and reptiles, 500 species of trees and 6000 species of insects. Corcovado National Park protects several endangered species including jaguar, puma, scarlet macaw, crocodiles, tapir, poison dart and golden frogs and the harpy eagle. Turtles lay their eggs on the beaches. Our guide will help you to see and identify the amazing amount of animals, trees and plants found here. You will hike through the rich rainforest with our talented and professional guide and see for yourself what Costa Rica is most famous for.

You will experience a wide variety of animals both on land and at sea,
some only found in this area.
